BidNow Online Auction

Vehicles and assets are listed in silent, time-based online auctions and bids are placed until the auction closing time is reached. ​

  • Just submit your maximum bid and our system will bid for you. ​
  • If another bidder outbids you, you’ll be notified via email and on the Activity Dashboard. ​
  • If you’re successful, you’ll receive an email copy of your invoice which you are required to pay. ​
  • Keep track of your bids with your own buyer Dashboard. ​
  • If the item is referred, and you are the highest bidder our team will call you on the day the auction ends.

Please note that some BidNow auctions may have the “Bid Extension” feature activated. This means if any bids are received within the last few minutes* before the auction ends, the auction duration will be extended*. Any and all subsequent bids received within this bid extension period will continue to extend the auction duration, until bidding stops and the auction expires.​ * Note: determined by Manheim staff when setting up the BidNow auction; minimum of 1 minute, maximum of 10 minutes.

How do I bid in a BidNow auction?

To bid in an auction, you must first register as a member. Simply click on ‘register’ in the top right-hand corner of the homepage on the Manheim website. Complete the online form to create your account. Once you are a member, simply log in with your username and password. You can bid on any public auction through our website. You must provide your billing details to place a bid on a BidNow listing. A deposit will be applied automatically to the selected payment method upon the successful purchase of an asset.

How can I pay?

Payment can be made by bank transfer, EFTPOS, BPAY, or credit card (Visa and MasterCard only, and a processing fee of 0.4% applies to credit card transactions). Credit card payments must be made in person. Cash, personal cheques, and business cheques are not accepted.

Please allow 24 hours for payment to be processed if made by bank transfer. Once funds are cleared, you will receive a second tax invoice with a zero balance owing, indicating that your item is ready for collection. If you have not received a zero balance tax invoice 24 hours after making payment, please call your local office.

What other fees do I have to pay?

On top of the purchase price of the item, you will be required to pay a ‘Buyer Administration Fee’. Please click here for fees associated with your item.

How do I keep track of my bids?

Manage your bidding using the Activity Dashboard. From here, you can bid live on multiple assets from the one screen. You can also easily view your BidNow purchase history – including units WON, units LOST, as well as checking referrals. The Dashboard allows you to easily see if you’re the highest bidder or if you’ve been outbid, the time left, and if an asset has reached reserve and is ‘on sale’.
