To successfully complete the registration process, you will need to provide information contained on your driver's license. To assist you in correctly identifying your driver's license and card numbers, a summary of Australian Licences can be accessed here.

To bid in an auction, you must first register as a member. Simply click on ‘register’ in top right-hand corner of the homepage on the Manheim website. Complete the online form to create your account. Once you are a member, simply log in with your username and password. You can bid on any public auction through our website or use our simulcast app (for simulcast auctions only). You must provide your billing details in order to place a bid on a BidNow listing or to enter a Simulcast auction. A deposit will be applied automatically to the selected payment method upon the successful purchase of an asset via the BidNow or Simulcast sales channel.

When participating in a BidNow auction. you can choose to place a ‘Knock Out Bid’. This means your bid will immediately become the Current Bid, no matter what the next bid increment is. This feature is perfect if you want to quickly raise the bid to your desired amount or if you want to outbid others by a significant margin to secure the asset.

You will need to opt-in to this action by clicking on the checkbox (see image below). You will also be presented with a pop-up clarifying that you are submitting a Knock Out Bid, every time you select this feature. This feature is available for bids made from the Vehicle Details Page, and/or from the Activity Dashboard.

If you are the highest bidder, and the item has reached the reserve price, you will be required to pay a deposit. You must provide your billing details in order to place a bid on a BidNow listing or to enter a Simulcast auction. A deposit will be applied automatically to the selected payment method upon the successful purchase of an asset via the BidNow or Simulcast sales channel. The deposit amount will vary depending on sale price:

Sales Price Deposit
$1 - $500 No deposit taken
$501 - $10,000 $500 or 10% up to $1,000
$10,001 and over $1,000 deposit

You will receive a notification via email when your invoice is ready for review. Invoices can be viewed or downloaded from the Online Invoice Portal. Payments can be made directly via the portal using PayPal or a credit card (^fees apply). You can also opt to pay your invoice via the payment options listed on your copy of the invoice -BPAY or EFT. Card payments can be made in person by the cardholder. Cash payments are not accepted.

Invoices can be accessed via our Online Invoice Portal from the link you will receive in your notification email when you successfully purchase an item. You can also access the Online Invoice Portal directly when you are signed into your Manheim account. You can pay your invoice within the portal via PayPal or Credit Card (fees apply) or you can download your invoice and pay via EFT or BPAY. You can also pay your invoice in person via Credit Card however please note cash and cheques are not accepted. You must pay the balance of your invoice by 4pm the day following your purchase.

For all payments made outside the portal, please allow 24 hours for payment to be processed. Once funds are cleared and your invoice is showing as fully paid, you will be able to collect your item.

On top of the purchase price of your vehicle you will be required to pay a ‘Buyer Administration Fee’. Please click here for fees associated with your item.

When selecting "Card" - a pre-authorization transaction of $1 may appear on your credit/debit card statement from ‘Cox Automotive’. This is not a charge, just a temporary hold on funds and it is not debited into Manheim’s bank account. It enables Manheim to check if funds are available on the credit or debit card and reserve the funds without debiting your account. It provides a level of assurance that your card is valid, has sufficient funds and is not stolen.

Salvage vehicles are not available for viewing in person, you can view images of the vehicles online only.

Cars and light commercial vehicles are available for inspection Monday – Friday from 9:00am – 4:00pm.

We have a dedicated team of transport coordinators who are ready to organise transport of your vehicle anywhere in Australia and New Zealand. Click here to get a transport quote online. If you proceed, transport will be added to your vehicle invoice. If you have already paid your invoice, a new invoice will be raised for the transport. Once the invoice for the car and transport has been paid and cleared by our cashiers, we will place a booking with one of our transport suppliers.

No. All vehicles and assets listed in an auction catalogue must be sold via AUCTION only.

The visual grade is a visual assessment of the vehicle’s interior and exterior condition. Vehicles are graded from 1 to 5 with 1 being the highest. This grade does NOT include a mechanical assessment. Please click here for details about each grade.

We do not disclose the reserve on any of the items we sell on behalf of our vendors.

If a vendor provides a current RWC and/or current registration this will be advertised on our website and announced prior to the vehicle being auctioned.

Vehicles are auctioned in the condition they are given to us. If a vendor provides a spare key and service books and/or history then the vehicle will be sold with them. We cannot contact vendors to question them about missing keys, books and accessories.

To access your profile, change your settings and view Manheim auctions, you will need to sign in. The sign-in button is located on the top of the homepage. You will be required to enter your email address and password.
